Suga Pottery Deep Drink Bowl - Butter Yellow

This bowl by Ben Suga is made for slow, warm drinks—ceremonial cacao, tea, or anything meant to be held and sipped. The compact, weighted form sits securely in the hands, with gently rising walls that concentrate warmth and aroma while remaining comfortable to drink from.

Because the bowls are handmade, each has a unique, playful, soft-yellow textured glaze, with the dark-brown base showing through. 

Having roots in Japan and apprenticed to renowned ceramic masters in Karatsu, Japan, and Minnesota, Ben Suga focuses on creating high-quality ceremonial teaware, tableware, and sculpture in his studio in the Catskill Mountains. 

These stoneware bowls are fired at high temperatures, resulting in their durability.
