Suga Pottery Small Bowl - Iron Crystal

Ben Suga of Suga Pottery made multifunctional Small Bowls in Iron Crystal glaze. They can be used for various drinks and foods. Because each bowl is handmade, it has unique variations in color and textured glaze. 

An iron-rich glaze breaks into hundreds of tiny crystalline blooms, giving the mugs a living, mineral skin. This glaze’s complexity continues to reveal itself over time.

With roots in Japan and training as an apprentice to renowned ceramic masters in Karatsu, Japan, and Minnesota, Ben Suga focuses on creating high-quality ceremonial teaware, tableware, and sculpture in his studio in the Catskill Mountains. 

These stoneware bowls are fired at high temperatures, which makes them durable.
